Silvano “Nano” Campeggi, renowned poster artist for American cinema, was commissioned to create the iconic image of the Brazilian woman, still an integral part of the company’s identity today.

The 1950s

Territorial
expansion

The arrival of Giampaolo Stacchini, the founder’s son-in-law and, at the time, company president, marked the beginning of an important process of territorial expansion for Moka Arra.

Later, his children Stefano and Silvia, together with grandchildren Duccio and Jacopo, contributed to the company’s growth, consolidating its position among Italian coffee producers both in Italy and abroad.

A European Community regulation required companies to change their names if the brand referred to a geographic region but the raw materials were not primarily sourced from there. That’s how “Moka Harrar” became “Moka Arra.”

and growth

In 2002, Moka Arra relocated from Via Galliano to the Florence/Osmannoro industrial area, expanding production with modern, state-of-the-art facilities.

In 2004, the company achieved UNI EN ISO 9001 quality certification, reflecting its ongoing dedication to excellence in every cup of coffee.

Staying true to its traditions while looking to the future, Moka Arra introduced new blends alongside its classic recipes: the 100% Arabica organic single-origin and Fiorenero, a blend created as a tribute to the city of Florence.

In 2019, Moka Arra celebrated its 70th anniversary, a milestone recognized by the Florence Chamber of Commerce for the company’s contribution to the region’s economic and social development.

Raw coffee is sourced from some of the world’s most renowned regions — including Central America, Africa, Indonesia, and Vietnam.
